In the current CVS (and i guess 1.4 rc2 and 3 too) a feature like this is 
implemented. If u stop the movie before the end it saves a bookmark, and when 
u select that movie again and go to the submenu (by pressing 'e' or the 
appropriate button on your remote) u can select "resume playback" and freevo 
will continue where u stopped the movie last time. 
I don't know if it supports multiple "bookmarks" though.
