Hi all, I was just playing around in the web interface and had some ideas and wondered what you all think about them:
1) TV guide: If you have a channel in your TV_CHANNELS and it doesn't exist in your XMLTV listings (or you don't have any listings) the entire row for a channel has "« This channel has no data loaded »" across it and you can't do anything to it. I propose something similar to the tv screen based guide plus a littie extra (that we could apply there too).
Instead of having a single colspan with the no data message we could create empty TvProgram objects with predetermined lengths (same as the timeslot blocks defaulting to 30 minutes) with a program title of "No data" or something. Clicking on one of these would bring up a modified program info box with the description set to something like "you do not have listing information for this program, click record to manually configure this for recording" or something.
This sounds like a pretty good idea to me.
