1) For the runtime, could we write a better version that also provides chapter and subtitle information using mplayer ? (Esp. Subtitles are important!) Or one that uses e.g. 'lsdvd' instead of mplayer to parse the content, and then provide lsdvd in the runtime ? I am willing to spend time on it. 2) Why is mmpython still crashing (segfault) when ifoparser reads the content of an encrypted DVD ? (ifoparser.open in dvdinfo.py) I have the following packages installed: libdvdcss2-devel-1.2.8-1plf libdvdcss2-1.2.8-1plf
I would like to fix this once and for all. Tell me how to proceed
(both for runtime and stand-alone) and I'll try to help.
I write a once-and-for-all-fix yesterday by using lsdvd.
Where can I find it ? CVS ? I saw mmpython cvs contains a lsdvd.py, is it used automatically by the current freevo CVS ?
Thanks a lot Dischi, this will probably fix an issue that's been blocking our Freevo machine at home for months ...
