I'm playing with VLC now, and am also having problems sending rtp. I have used it to send udp and playback using xine udp://<multicastip:port>#save:blah.mpeg which seems to be saving a file although I haven't been able to seek yet. Still trying rtp.
I am doing:
vlc -vvv /opt/space/live.mpeg --sout udp:224.0.0.250:8123 --ttl 1 --intf dummy
I am testing with an mpeg-ps and ts. If you get it to send rtp let me know. :)
