First of all: if you don't want to make the work twice, think about doing this for cvs freevo. So, now about you question: The ipod plugin would inherit from two plugins. First from MainMenuPlugin showing you the content of the ipod and let you browse on it. A MainMenuPlugin can also be loaded in the audio main menu, the first menu when you press 'Listen to music'. The second part of the plugin is an ItemPlugin with the action 'copy to ipod'. So you can browse your music dir, select a dir or file and copy it to your ipod.
