Yes pretty sure that there is a second process, ps -ef reports a child
process has been started when a recording starts, which is when the
process to perform the recording starts and record server starts to
receive events from the record plug-in.

I think that the problem started about the middle of last week, it's
difficult to be precise as I was changing the record_client quite a bit
over the last few days and wasn't updating kaa every day.
