Yes, adjusting the AA with nvidia-settings will improve the jagged edges
and any aliasing inside the video texture (most noticeable with text).

Yes, that's one problem I saw as well, with an existing comp mgr,
CompositeRedirectManual won't work, so you'll see both windows.

Also, with compiz running, I was unable to stop video tearing (even with
sync to vblank enabled with compiz).
