I have attached the changed files.
I have also adapted my script for getting tv listings to put the correct timezone in +format so it is now +0200 in my case and will get back to +0100 in the fall.
some of the changes I have made include: -TV.xml-pickled now really is in UTC -freevo_record.lst is now in the localtime (including DST) and the time on the TV listing on the screen is now correct. -oh, yeah and the recordings start & end on time....
There are probably some loose ends but at least it works now.
One thing: It may not be wise to simply replace your files with these. I have also adapted record_video.py so the channel name rather than the channel numer (or in my case the frequency) is in the filename. This may or not be what you want.

OK found the culprit!
Checked the record_daemon.py source, it uses now=time.time(). The Python library reference tells me that time.time() provides the time in UTC! So this should not even work in any timezone other than UTC itself, however it is compared against something that is created by time.strptime() which maps the time back to UTC as well. However all of this breaks with DST.
So as long as you are consistent, nothing breaks right? Now in a project with may contributors, things are bound to break....
WHOAAA!
Checking my TV listing, it mentions the time in CET (not CEST). However, when I fix that it breaks the tv guide view in Freevo (and hence the rest of the chain).
will post angain when I have solved it....
American clocks go forward this weekend (I heard) so life could get quite exciting... ;-)
