I use a custom script that puts the filename in quotes and it fixes this, but 
I think rob has commited a change to use underscores instead of spaces.
I don't see tvrecord in 1.3.2 anymore and it wasn;t in my fresh checkout. what 
are you using for your vcr_cmd. Also if you look at rob's example in 
record_config.py he reccomends putting quotes around the filename and using 
single quotes around the command:

VCR_CMD = ('/var/media/bin/tvrecord %(channel)s %(seconds)s "%(filename)s"')
