I've just decided to start using freevo 1.3.2 rather than the cvs
version i'd been using for months.
Aside from some confusion over some of the new configuration options
(There is no rc_client directory in the freevo home, how the heck do i
actually configure lirc?) I've run into a major hiccup:
I Can't figure out how, if there is such a thing, to shut down freevo
cleanly. There's no option in the main menu to shut it down, and if i
kill the process, i can't start up freevo again. I think it leaves the
framebuffer screwed up or something. it just stops after loading the
local configuration.
This means that every time i find another problem with my
configuration, I have to reboot the system.
I'm using a g400 with mga_vid on an athlon system running debian/woody
and alsa 0.9.4 audio, fwiw.
Any ideas?
