first of all, as far as i remember you have to compile a new sdl. i think you do not need to patch it any more. but you still have to replace your runtime/dll/libSDL-1.2.so.0

check if sdl configure script says directfb= ok or something like that thats all i can say out of my mind because my working box is at home :(

You have to use the directfb (dfbmga in mplayer)
tvout for your g450.
Sorry i dont't know because i did not use it.The last command gives the error: ioctl failed: Invalid argument
What does this mean?
settingsIf I don't enter the last '1' it says: Output mode is 128
Then I have tried a number of different fbset
but non of them with nice picture on the TV.

If you have managed to get mplayer to work with
work.g450 and tv-out then and only then try to get freevo to get
configureI don't know if i did the easiest way to
thefreevo but it finally worked.
i took the source version of freevo and made all
wasdependencies myself. make sure to use your own mplayer(cvs).
i compiled my own sdl but i do not know if this
necessary. configure freevo to use dfbmga thats all.
