It's possible; but it looks like keys.[ch] uses it; ncurses.h includes keycodes, so it's used for interpreting KEY_UP, KEY_DOWN, etc. as well as some tty operations. To be honest though, ncurses is kind of a minimum requirement for most everything; you can't even use 'make menuconfig' in the linux kernel without it :) > You can't.
