OK, so i spent the last couple days setting up Freevo. I had a lot of
problems, but i worked through most of them.
The main observation I have to make, is that setup, is ridiculously tedious.
There were a lot of things that could have been automated better. Mainly
this is seen in the XMLTV setup(nothing o do with Freevo, really).
That aside, I'm pretty pleased so far. One problem is that my TV card is
getting bad reception on some channels, but that's probably more hardware
related. Or possibly something to do with the exact frequencies, being used.
I'm going to test the card out in windows and see how it handles the same
channels.
The major problem I'm having though, is that I can't figure out the keyboard
controls. When I'm in the program guide, I can just press 'h' to find out
the controls. However, as soon as I start watching TV, the controls are
completely different. No volume control, only a channel up button ('h' for
some reason, so i guess no help either). Also, it is frustrating not being
able to go directly to a channel, by pressing some numbers. This seems to be
a problem in every linux TV program I've used though. Is there any source on
the exact keyboard layout, while watching TV? What about some way to remap
it?

TO be honest, I haven't really messed with recording show too much yet. I
might get to that tomorrow....I'm much more concerned about figuring out the
keys, cause otherwise it really kills Freevo's ability as a normal TV.

Thanks,
