Hi, You will need some modules from the kernel.
USB modules MSdos / VFAT file system modules SCSI + SCSI Generic modules you have to load the modules then insert the usb card reader and it will porbably be mapped at /dev/sda (and others if it is a multi card reader) Create a mount point an then you could mount /dev/sda1 to the mont point. I'm sure that you find detailed procedures with google.
