I agree, its really the best I've seen.

That being said, I took someon's advice and got me a G400, wich is
stillpretty good, and by far the best suported (read most lightly to
work in other situations.. in linux).

That being said, if this was for a dedicated HT box, i would probably
look at the dxr3 again..  One thing people skin over is its audio out. 
Although there is not mixer available, it it still the best I have out
of onbooard, dxr3, sblive and sb-awe32.

I get a constant humm on the others but the dxr3 doesn't have it, and
its audio is also very clear.  I'm using and amp anyway, so i use that
for voulme control in any case.  So one other advantage of the dxr3 is
that it can save you a slot in tight situations.
