Thanks, but it *is* in there. That is why this is a confusing error. I am having to edit the freevo file to get anything to work, and I don't like doing that.
Also, sound has been a bane of mine. For some reason, I can't get sound configured to even run xmms. Does anyone have any pointers? I have either AC97 on board sound or an Ensoniq 1370 sound card. I have tried both, and neither one works. I always get the "/dev/dsp device is busy" error.
So, let me know what I need. Do I need artsd ? alsa ? oss?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
