Hi again, I've a small question. After i recompiled my stuff to get rid of the runtime package it seems that i can't get any display anymore with mplayer 0.92. It gives me this error: Can't get CRTC2 layer - Not supported! Error opening/initializing the selected video_out (-vo) device. Any clues, i use mplayer with -vo dfbmga:nospic nothing else. Freevo starts ok tho so dfb should be working correctly.
I've compiled everything from scratch, sdl directfb mplayer tvtime xmltv and python so there can't be any library probs now :) And if i don't use primary-layer=02 in directfbrc i don't get the Unsupported pixelformat error. Otherwise it's the same just wanna let u know since it was on the list before. Thx in advance, Youri P.S. i tried mplayer 1.0pre3 but it fails to compile so i couldn't try it with that one but i doubt if it works. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Rob Shortt" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Tuesday, January 20, 2004 12:45 AM Subject: Re: [Freevo-users] DirectFB help Magnus Einarsson wrote: > I ended up upgrading automake and autoconf to the latest version in > portage and now i can build the latest SDL cvs snapshot. Yes, it was driving me quite crazy. I would rather use SDL with the primary-layer=02 and not SDL_DIRECTFB_MGA_CRTC2, or figure out how to get it not to use the primary later at the same time. > I still get ocaisonal segmentation faults in pygame when browsing music, > i have not narrowed down exactly what triggers this. Which version of > pygame are you using? pygame 1.6, although I haven't been using that machine very much since I switched to directfb. > What tests did you mplayer tests do you want me to run? Myself and some other people are experiencing bad jitter with dfbmga, like it is skipping fields. -Rob ------------------------------------------------------- The SF.Net email is sponsored by EclipseCon 2004 Premiere Conference on Open Tools Development and Integration See the breadth of Eclipse activity.
