Hi, I need to refine my question sent out two days. ago. [http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=7107927] I want to install freevo on a very lean system and therefore I want to use the framebuffer device. display = fbdev geometry = 720x576 Everything is working fine if I have a monitor attached and freevo starts on the vesa framebuffer /dev/fb0). I can watch TV-output in mplayer /dev/video and I can cat to video16 to watch it on the TV. But the system should run only with a TV attached to the PVR 350. Here I get on booting only a few seconds a green screen, then some red and white noise and after that a black screen. Everything else (kernel msgs) is still on the monitor. And freevo starts on the monitor too, even after I've put everthing I found regarding this issue in /etc/freevo/boot_config: FREEVO_HOME="/usr/bin" SDL_NOMOUSE=1 SDL_FBDEV="/dev/fb1" FRAMEBUFFER="/dev/fb1" This is from syslog media kernel: Vesafb does not support changing the video mode and has probably to do with freevo running on /dev/fb0. Apparently I'm missing something. I tried to tell the kernel via lilo to use the ivtv-fb, but without success. But I can live without the boot msgs on the TV if only freevo would show up there. Is there anybody with a similar configuration?
