Try the recording Info page again. I noticed this morning the use of a
VCR variable which was probably not good. so i removed it in favor of
harcoding the /dev/dsp adevice. I have also included a new style
mencoder command and an old style mencoder command.

Also there is a link on the page to a script i use myself on my test
machine. It requires that you have the smixer program.  I just emerged
it from gentoo but you can get it here: 
http://centerclick.org/programs/smixer/

The script also uses the old style mencoder syntax. I will try to update
it to have a cmmented out version of the new syntax soon.
