Hi Guys. You only need to run ./freevo schedulefavorites if you do not use ./freevo tv_grab to get your listings. I highly recommend using the tv_grab helper though, it can be configured to run your grabber (tv_grab_na or whatever), sort the listings (tv_sort fixes the messed up stop times at midnight among other things), re-pickle them into a Freevo object (so the next time you load the guide it isn't slow), and schedule any favorite programs for recording.
There is a little bug (feature) where if you remove a favorite program from your recording schedule, then rerun tv_grab or schedulefavorites, it will reschedule the show for you. We need to insert some code to remember that you previously didn't want to record that instance of the program.

Is this by design? I sort of thought Favorites would work like "whenever you see this show matching this criteria, get it", not just a pre-created search or something. Unless I have a config error?
i don't know if this is the way it's meant to be done, but try running ./freevo schedulefavorites
it seems to me that the the tv listings are only automatically scanned for matching favorite's when you first add the favorite. After that, if you want it to search for any favorites in more recent listings, ./freevo schedulefavorites needs to be run.
I'll get round to setting this up as a cron job eventually . . .
