This should definately not happen, I think dischi removed my way of doing it (I let it dock to the detach image area) - so I think it's supposed to stop goom when detaching. On a sidenote, I'm now trying to redesign the audio player, so hopefully the detach mess should get cleaner. Currently I have a plugin based frontend so one could write different player frontends if one wants to. I've just started working on it, so it'll probably not be available for this release. I know some people are against adding more 'idlebar' kinds of plugins, but I've currently moved the detached player to a new style of dock-app bar. This bar will show or hide itself more dynamically and hopefully not take up too much space. I added support for a headlines ticker in the dock-area too :) .
