YES it works!
it's indeed independent from other playback!
The only odd thing is that it's just mono..... but there was already a
mentioning of that in the settingsfile
I will play a little bit with it and see what will come up.

I have a few other question

1)
I do capturing with mencoder, i noticed that the corresponding fxd file
includes the filename with mpeg extension..
where can i manipulate this setting....?

2)
how do I enable timeshifting? I saw this was possible but i can't find how
to enable it. or use it
is it a plugin that has to be activated

3)
Another odd thing is a little bit off topic and perhaps related to tvtime,
when i run tvtime, the picture is when a fast motion is on TV with stripes
and fading, it looks like my hardware configuration is to slow for looking
tv directly, but i'am using a P4 with 1.8 ghz this should be sufficient, of
is one of my settings wrong?
BTW, my processor utalization is 20%, so it's not cpu related i guess, the
used graphics is Nvida geoforce 4, xv driver on Fedora core 2 with 8k
stacks.

With kind regards
