It's hardcoded in the freevo_config.py file, you can override using a redefined VCR_CMD in local_config.py. I had a patch to allow changing the extension and configure the mixer (needs tweaking for your case) that was posted to the freevo-devel list about 10 days ago (it changes freevo_config.py directly, you could just copy the changes to local_config.py instead). > 2) > how do I enable timeshifting? However, AFAIK tvtime performs software deinterlacing so there's another step involved in the process. Do you see the same problem with xawtv, or mplayer? One thing to help improve Video card performance is to verify that the mtrr settings are correct. If you're using vesafb, add mtrr as one of the options on the boot command line parameter list.
