Been playing with this latest release of freevo + directfb, and have noticed that when playing video through mplayer, the freevo keyboard commands don't work (but thew mplayer ones do!). This is quite annoying, especially since I am using mplayer for TV viewing, and in order to change the channel, I have to quit the channel I am viewing back to the tvguide, and then select a new channel. Does anyone know why mplayer is not running correctly in slave mode, and is picking up all the keystrokes directly? More importantly, does anyone know how to fix this problem?
Try adding "noinput" to your MPLAYER_VO_DEV_OPTS, for example mine is:
MPLAYER_VO_DEV_OPTS = ':buffermode=triple:fieldparity=top:tvnorm=ntsc:nospic:noinput'
