I do have KDE and Gnome installed, it starts into KDE automatically
unless I specify otherwise. X is already started. Never configured
Xorg as far as I know.

OK, then you dont have to run freevo with the option -fs.
If you use -fs, freevo act's as an window manager (like KDE (KDM) etc.).
I use also a two card combination. I have an PCI-Card as the Console Card, and an NVidia FX5200 as the Freevo-Card.


I start freevo with the DISPLAY option:

DISPLAY=:0.0 freevo

Perhaps you mustto the same. Try "DISPLAY=:0.0" and "DISPLAY=:1.0".
BTW: I have written a simple daemon, that start's freevo during
     system start.

If this doesn't help, you must cut down your /etc/freevo/local.conf
to the absolut minimum configuration. No TV etc.

Are you sure you have allready run "freevo setup"???
