Problem is that you are using more than one piece of software. Freevo
only uses other software on your system and this has it's own config
files.

Someone has to start. Freevo is only a hobby for me besides my real
job. There is one other active developer right now, that's it. One
other problem is that nobody cares about the wiki. It would be great
if someone would create a page with everything you need to do
xy. Nobody does :(

If that is everything you want and if you have a dvb card, use vdr.
