Yeah, that seems to have done the trick. That howto should be more clear. Needs an edit or two. When i got home it still wasn't working, after about 20 minutes i narrowed it down to my home made tv-out cable. Seems i designed it with strain enhancement on the signal pin. resoldered and . . . covered with tape because the real solution is for me to go buy a db15hd and a hood and glue up something less like a cable. What i've got now is the last 6" hacked off a low grade VGA cable. I wish someone had told me that dfbmga handles pretty much everything. Would have saved me some trouble arguing with various tools before i realized my cable was probably at fault. It's pretty nice. Watching some movies with it now. Looks good on my cheezy 36" tv.
