I use something very similar (but a bit simpler) than what is shown at

I found the wiki script to not be very usable with large (>2GB)
recordings.  It also did not result in correct sound sync with the
video.  My scripts as mentioned are simpler (using a single pass high
quality transcode with mp3 sound).  I can send them to you if you like,
or paste them to a reply if others are interested.  They are quite easy
to develop yourself based on the wiki scripts though, if you want to
customise for your own purposes.
