Hi.

For my freevo box, I have a pundit-r. It has an ati 9100 igp radeon graphic card. To make the tv-out work, I use the propietary drivers from ati. The version I have is 8.8.25, which is packaged in ubuntu. I haven't managed to make work any other version. And yes, I've tried hexedit too. Well, yesterday I was seeing a film for the first time. After 1 hour or so, the image started being corrupted. First, a few line in the top, a bit later, a few more lines. Here corrupted means noisy. Not distorted, but noisy. Like with no signal. If I pressed stop, the freevo window looked ok. But after playing the film for some time, corruption started again. The file is ok, of course, and the problem don't start always at the same point. Sound was always ok. So if freevo looks ok and mplayer doesn't, I thought it could be a problem with mplayer. I've checked in its webpage and it says that it supports VIDIX Radeon R200 QM (Radeon 9100). I'm not sure whether it's the same than mine. So I'd like to know whether someone has the same problem than me, or the same hardware and no problem. BTW, kernel is 2.6.10 from ubuntu.

Thanks

   Alberto
