running suse 9.2, hauppauge pvr-150, nvidia geforce video card and freevo 1.5.3 (with all dependcies installed). mplayer works well with ivtv drivers. when I start freevo it displays a black screen for few seconds and crashes. the following is the outcome of freevo process (presently I am trying to view tv only):

Error: TV_RECORD_DIR not set Please set TV_RECORD_DIR to the directory, where recordings should be stored or remove the tv plugin. Autoset variable to /home/nabil.

Error: VIDEO_SHOW_DATA_DIR not found
ROM_DRIVES: Auto-detected and added "('/media/dvd', '/dev/dvd', 'DVD-1')"

Error: can't find /tmp/TV.xml
Use xmltv to create this file or when you don't want to use the tv
module at all, add TV_CHANNELS = [] and plugin.remove('tv') to your
local_conf.py. TVguide is deactivated now.

Can't find lsdvd. DVD support will be limited and maybe not all discs are detected. Please install lsdvd, you can get it from http://acidrip.thirtythreeandathird.net/lsdvd.html

After installing it, you should run 'freevo cache --rebuild'
