Hi all,

Probably the easiest thing to do is explain what I am trying to achieve, then what I had done so far..

I am fed up with all the CD and DVD cases and the physical storage required in my lounge. To this end I am putting together a media PC onto which I intended to rip all my CD's as MP3's and all my DVD's as VOB's. I want to be able to "rip" my DVD's onto a big hard disk, and then be able to browse them on my freevo box, and watch the playback (movie only).

I have installed Freevo on my machine and it all seems to be working fine, I have a remote control, I can play MP3's quite happily.

However the Video section is causing me problems.

I currently have the video's mounted over a samba mount, as the media machines does not have that big a hard disk. The folder of the DVD appears in the right place when I got to "watch a video", but when I select it the freevo interface simply says "no files found".

If I move all the VOB's into the top level directory (still samba mounted), then they all appear in the list, and I can play them one at a time, but what I really want is a directory that I can also put a DVD cover imagine into, and then I can browse through all my DVD's and just hit play once to watch it.

The directory structure is currently:
D:\Movies>dir /s
Volume in drive D is New Volume
Volume Serial Number is 9C15-E1D1

Directory of D:\Movies

22/03/2006 23:07 <DIR> .
22/03/2006 23:07 <DIR> ..
23/03/2006 10:41 <DIR> ENEMY_OF_THE_STATE
              0 File(s) 0 bytes

    Total Files Listed:
              7 File(s) 5,938,579,456 bytes
              8 Dir(s) 43,531,001,856 bytes free

Any help on how I can archive my DVD's and turn my media PC into a video jukebox would be appreciated. I am currently using DVD Decrypter to do the ripping on Windows. However I am willing to look at any solutions to this problem. If there is other software I should be using, or a completely different technique then please let me know!
