Wander- I find slackware a lot easier to use than Debian, and that is going all the way back down to the 3.X days of slackware, up till then the floppies where a nightmare. Even now Debain drives me nuts.
Mike- I have a pretty complete set of freevo packages for slackware at http://tgz.eng.ua.edu/slackware-10.1/ . Some of the stuff is do for an upgrade, but hat is what my slackware box is running on.
