  Can't help much on the localization, other than suggesting to look
at /usr/share/locale for oyu region lanaguage abbrevitaion and putting
that on LOCALES. For your ATI remote, yes modifying the
/etc/freevo/lircrc is the best way to change how the remote operates.
You can also use the local_conf.py to teach freevo how to use buttons
that are not understood yet.
