I am an ubuntu edgy user. VNC simply doesn't work on ubuntu edgy.
Don't tell me otherwise. I've read all the forums on the topic. I
can vnc to localhost. My iptabes doesn't have any rules set. I've
even gone to the extent of adding an "allow all" rule to IP tables.
But I always get "unable to negotiate codec" error with VNC clients
that don't just crash (tightvnc just crashes).

I've actually found it easier on ubuntu to install apache + php +
mysql than to get VNC running which comes default with the distro! So
right now I'll take any php frontend to any daemon that pays music.

Not to mention the shitty wireless support in gnome. Oh don't get me started.

Sorry (for winging)..
