I think that the quality of the TV-out varies a bit with the age of the
cards, I have an old model and it is terrible and a new one and it's
great. Hauppauge change the chip types every so often.

No, you can't have 3D acceleration with the 350.

No the 500 doesn't have tv-out, only the 350 from Hauppauge.
