Vertical refresh visible in animations Description The horizontal refresh is not synchronized with the application so that the vertical refresh is visible in animations. The effect are horizontal lines in fast animations or video playback
Affected Cards and Drivers Different Solution I don't know why the nvidia drivers do not get this managed. The x-server has a mechanism to report a horizontal sync for applications. However the following solved the problem: With the nividia-settings tool generate a settings file that includes the following lines: 0/XVideoTextureSyncToVBlank=0 0/XVideoBlitterSyncToVBlank=0 Note that the settings are switched OFF The configuration can be found in the "X Server XVideo Settings" panel and is called "Video Texture Adaptor" "Sync to VBlank".
