This is the error I get when I play tv with Freevo (with display set to
sdl).

In mplayer-stdout.log:
VO: [sdl] 640x480 => 640x480 Packed YUY2  [fs] [zoom]

[VO_SDL] Info - please use -vm or -zoom to switch to the best resolution.

[VO_SDL] Set_fullmode: SDL_SetVideoMode failed: Invalid width or height.

VDecoder init failed :(

And in mplayer-stderr.log:
[VO_SDL] Failed to set video mode: Invalid width or height.

FATAL: Cannot initialize video driver.

Cannot find codec matching selected -vo and video format 0x32595559.

Note, that when I type "mplayer tv:// -tv driver=v4l2:freq=504 -vo sdl" it
works perfectly, and even with the width and height set it works like a
charm... but not when launched from Freevo? :-(

Duncan,

I DirectFB won't work since I'm not root (or is there a way to run Freevo
in DirectFB without being root?)
Yesterdayevening, just before I'd gone to bed, I tried the sdl driver, and
that works! I have full screen video now.

Only problem is, that I cannot watch TV from Freevo with the sdl driver.
I tried watching TV from the command-line with -vo sdl, and that works,
but when I choose a channel from Freevo, I get back into the TV guide after
a few seconds.
I'll try to set the childapp_debug to 1 to check what error mplayer gives
me this evening. :-)

The other problem I had, that the screen was blanking, and the cursor was
on top of Freevo after having played a video, I solved with the following
two lines in .bash_profile:

setterm -cursor off
setterm -blank 0

So we're getting somewhere :-)

Michel
