I've made a very simple MusicIP Mixer plugin that works with freevo 1.7.
Currently it allows you to create a MusicIP Mix using the currently
running MusicIP service and any selected song.
To use it, you'll have to have the MusicIP mixer running with the web
service enabled, and all your music added to its database and
analyzed.
Dump this into your freevo/audio/plugins and add:
plugin.activate("audio.musicip")
to local_conf.py.
If your MusicIP server port isn't 10002 set MUSICIP_SERVER = "127.0.0.1:<port>"
For those of you not familiar with the MusicIP mixer, it's a nice
little app that takes a song and makes a mix of a bunch of similar
songs. If you've got a large collection of music with different
styles, it's a kind of "Random" playlist with a theme, rather than
some random mix of totally different songs.
Anyway, I'd be glad to hear that someone else benefitted from this.
And, if it were added to the main distribution more's the better!
