Hmm, interesting. Didn't know of xineliboutput plugin before. Have you used it on a client-only machine over network? Anyhow, back to the case at hand. What I'm thinking is that there are two programs (vdr and freevo) waiting for user input (ie. remote events) and so they do have to know of each other so that either one understands to ignore the events when the other one's active. And I think this is what freevo-vdr plugin takes care of. But maybe there's the same functionality provided by your distribution, don't know. Is it version 1.7 of freevo that your using? Or maybe I'm totally lost with my logic, that is also always a possibilty ;) Need to do some research on that, if I can't get this freevo-vdr plugin working...
