Thanks Tanja ! I confirm that the src/video/plugins/mplayer.py is issuing 2 times the -v option when you are in CHILDAPP_DEBUG. The second -v is heavily slowing mplayer!!! I just remove the first -v option associated with the '-slave' one and everything is perfect now ! I will push a bug if necessary.
