Then it is probably mplayer. Try playing the problematic videos in mplayer and see if they are out of sync, If so then you may be able to just use xine changing VIDEO_PREFERED_PLAYER = 'mplayer' to VIDEO_PREFERED_PLAYER = 'xine'
