I see where you are coming from but the thing is that there is no real 
clear divide there on what is user and what is devel, a lot of the 
resources you mention would be used by both so that makes that approach 
difficult.

That's a good idea - the status pages for 1 & 2 touch on that already. 
Maybe the wiki could be updated or restructured to accommodate a more 
detailed brief of these areas? Duncan, Dischi, Jason et al - feel free 
to jump in there :)
