I understand, but I'm not reading the modelines under the monitor section, but modes under the screen section ;-) Mandriva's harddrake service tries to detect the right resolution for your screen (and does a pretty good job on most systems), and sets that resolution as the first available mode. That's simply the resolution I pick to configure Freevo with.
