Just some more thoughts to the discussion:

Is there something like a continues tv stream on the net?
All I have seen so far, was video podcast, meaning single episodes you can 
download and watch.
For audio there is both, web radio which is a continues stream and audio 
podcast, which is single 
pieces. But how is that for video?

This is also why I was thinking to call the new plugin vpodcast and not itv, 
because internet tv 
would be continues content in my interpretion (or is this a misinterpretation 
of a not native speaker?).

And what about things like youtube and the like, that are now in the vpodcast 
plugin? They are not 
tv, aren't they?

More opinions are welcome!

I will probably not start coding before the weekend anyway...
