Don't see why not, there is a configuration option for no-cache which you
may use with a diskless workstation.

Again should be possible, you will have to try this.

The logging process uses python's logging module which hopefully is a
wrapper around syslog so it should be possible to send log messages over
the LAN. May be there needs to be some code changes for this.

Really anything that writes to /var/cache/freevo, TV stuff, weather and
video booksmarks, but you can turn these off.
