Folks,

If there are problems with the freevo debs from geole.info, why don't you
contact Georg and let him know? His contact info is up on www.geole.info.
He's a nice guy who I've found to be helpful when I've let him know about
problems I'd encountered with his packages in the past. He'd made a couple of
fixes to his 1.7.3 packages based on reports myself and someone else sent in.

I think your problems with 1.8.0rc2 are due to the fact the kaa debs are older
ones from Dec. 2007. He may not have packaged up the new kaa, which rc2
depends on. You may want to suggest he sync up with svn and package from there.

BTW, I've never had problems with either his Debian packages (1.7.3) on my
server, or his Ubuntu ones (1.8.0rc1) on my front-ends that he and I couldn't
work out for the betterment of all. He's been working on getting them into
official repositories, so that may be occupying his time. FYI, they're now in
Debian Unstable.

Hope that helps!

/Mike
