I had no problems with the source installation. One small thing I did was run the freevo config update script (per the docs) - I wonder if that was part of the cause with the packages, in that it didn't run that automatically? --Andrew I don't think so, even though it is necessary to run the correct config script. The problem I noticed in earlier versions of the Ubuntu-Deb package, was with wrong dependencies for Freevo, such as configuring to Twisted Web version 2.5, when the older version 2.4 was all Freevo could work with.
