Maybe. However, you will note that 800x600 and 1600x1200 are multiples
and so the screen will look similar. It will not necessarily look nice
on a widerscreen TV. The biggest issue is that geometry screws up the
font rendition. The moment you hit fullscreen you are left with ugly
jagged fonts. Keeping the aspect ratio and the size close to the
screen makes the font look better.
