If you look at setup.py it makes a call 'from kaa.distribution.core import *', try this in python and you are probably getting a traceback:
[j...@localhost display]$ python Python 2.5.2 (r252:60911, Jan 8 2009, 12:17:37) [GCC 4.3.2] on linux2 Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information. >>> from kaa.distribution.core import * Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module> File "/usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/kaa/__init__.py", line 7, in <module> except (ImportError, __import__('pkg_resources').DistributionNotFound): A quick google told me it was because I was missing the python-setuptools package so I did sudo urpmi python-setuptools and then I could build and install kaa and all the kaa modules no problem. You probably just need to install it. I'll post to the devel list though to see if Jason or Dischi will patch kaa.
