Yes but with no skin selected for it. Adding DIALOG_SKIN_XML_FILE = 'blurr' to your local_conf.py should change that to the nice mute display at the bottom of the screen that you can see in the example video. > > If it is, I have no idea why I am not getting any OSD on video/TV. Video is probably easiest to start with. I haven't got it working with TV yet either. The one consistent part that seems to display in freevo, mplayer and xine is the mute display so that's probably a good test in each case. > One thing though, since re-creating my > /usr/lib/freevo2.6/site-packages/kaa directory with the > latest svn kaa, my osd does not work for my "normal" freevo install > either. You might need to add plugin.remove('dialog.x11_overlay_display') to /etc/freevo/local_conf.py
You should separate local_conf.py files for your two installs. > > I notice that the svn version of the above kaa directory does not have > as much in it as the kaa directory installed via my normal repository > install .. do I have to put missing stuff back in over the svn kaa > install directory? Unless you noticed errors when you were building it or installing it (it should have told you what components were or weren't built).
